Cleveland Rodeo

It’s been 100 degrees for the past week, but that didn’t stop people from packing into the hot steel bleachers and enjoying the show this past weekend at the Cleveland Rodeo. This was the biggest crowd I’ve seen at this rodeo–“Lawn Chair Room Only” along with dozens of cowboy hat laden, blue jean-wearing,  shit-kicker gracing fans perched on the metal fence, cheering wildly,  snapping pics with their cell phones. Add a 7-10 lb camera and lens to the mix, and one begins to wonder why they are willing to brave the heat, humidity, and dehydration, but somehow gets the feeling that this is one of those nights they’ll look back on decades from now, in old age, and get a soft feeling in their chest, and remember the cheers, the dust, and the cold Diet Coke burning on its way down.
