Ginger

I saw this ginger root at the health foods store today. I also bought a plum and kiwi, but decided to photograph the ginger first because of its interesting shape and texture. Then I cut it and took the tiniest bite. Whoa, I had forgotten how hot fresh ginger was! I suppose that is why it is often used to cleanse the palate when eating sushi.
